Career & Technical Education Programs
Smithfield High School’s Career and Technical Education Pathway programs offer students the opportunity to begin defining their future from the very beginning of high school. For more than 20 years, our Pathway programs have offered students a three to four course sequence, college credits, and work based learning experiences, giving students a head start in their career field.
CTE Pathway programs are open to all Smithfield High School students, as well as to students from outside of the district through our application.

This is a busy time at SHS! All pathway students must take their programs credential exam and seniors are wrapping up their work based learning hours.
We are proud to say that 100% of senior Teacher Preparation students passed their ParaPro assesment this week!
Law and Public Safety students have an upcoming tour of the Smithfield Police, Fire and EMA , while our Computer Science and Information Technolofgy/Cybersecurity students have been invited to the CyberSummit at URI.
SHS Business and Finance junior Talia Cost won the InvestWrite competition. Ellorie Corcoran first Smithfield student to serve as FBLA State President. Ava Brule will be serving as Secretary for the State FBLA Chapter. Kaya Gaffney won Dress for Success grant. Cameron Mencunas & Olek Bogusz each won $1000.00 scholarships for the NGPF's Payback Essay Challenge. Jeremy Knobel & Domenic Simonelli placed 2nd in the RI SIMFA 's year long Stock market Diversification game. Great job Sentinels!
