Each month SHS will Spotlight a CTE student excelling in their field.
Desmon Dagraca is a SHS senior in the Law and Public Safety pathway.
Currently enrolled in Law II, Desmon recently completed a two-on-two mock trial as the lead attorney in a civil case.
After completing Intro to Criminal Justice EEP as a sophomore, Desmon is now in the process of pursuing college credit through Roger Williams University. This process requires him to write an argumentative research paper within the field of Criminal Justice. From Constitutional issues to relevant issues in policing or the court system, Desmon has begun the research and writing process and will be presenting his research to a panel of RWU professors in the spring. This task is demanding as students need to argue a point of law, use a variety of online and print resources to support their claim, and present their argument. Desmon, like many Criminal Justice students before him, is up to the challenge and will represent SHS well!
