Mr. Waterman’s Personal Finance students are researching the cost of Higher Education and the student debt costs associated with obtaining different degrees. Students are looking at the RI Promise Scholarship, CCRI, URI , RIC and either a private, out of state or technical school. Students are calculating the potential student loan repayment options for each based on a ten year payback period, calculated at the current undergraduate interest rate of 5.05%.
Four Academy of Finance students tied for first place in the RI Economics Challenge in April! Great job! Academy students will be assisting the Future Business Leaders of America with the SHS annual Springfest event on Friday, May 17th from 3:30-7:30.
