Happy Halloween! Teacher Preparation students continued a tradition of practicing Halloween safety and manners by Trick or Treating throughout the school.
On Monday October 15, Mrs DiSano along with students Ashleigh (Class of 2021) and Meghan (Class of 2019) presented the Teacher Preparation Education Pathway to the 8th graders at Gallagher Middle School
Lili Lan Visgilio a graduate student from the URI Early Intervention program came and spoke to approximately 60 of our TPEP students introducing them to the potential career pathways available under that career umbrella. As always the information conveyed during this presentation is well received by our students!
One of the first certification programs for the 2018-19 school year in our TPEP Program takes place Thursday and Friday October 25 & 26. Twenty Child Care students attended training provided by the American Red Cross for babysitting and first aid certification and will receive this first certification! November training/certification will be American Heart Association First Aid/CPR. We’re on a roll!!
Family and Consumer Science teachers attended the Rhode Island Early Childhood Conference on October 27th at Rhode Island College.The theme for the conference was an Ocean for Change. Playschool experience helps with teaching knowledge and is fun!!!
