This has been a busy month for students enrolled in the Computer Science and Information Technology/Cybersecurity pathways. On December 3rd, Smithfield High School held its annual “Hour of Code” with pathway students assisting throughout the school.

The Girls Who Code club is building a website for Smithfield High School’s National Honor Society. The website will help to connect students looking for help to a tutor. Girls Who Code is open to grades 6-12, and meets Tuesdays from 2-3 in Room 102, stop by anytime!

Information Technology/Cybersecurity students competed in Round 2 of the Cyberpatriot Competition on December 7th.

In addition, Smithfield High School is a Samsung Solve for Tomorrow state finalist! See the state winners list at https://www.samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow/
